Michelle Obama and daughters make surprise visit to London

London, June 9 : U. S. First Lady Michelle Obama made a surprise visit to London along with her two daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, eight, on Monday.

She was seen leaving the House of Commons in a motorcade during the unofficial visit.

At the time, she was pictured clutching a publication bearing a picture of Michael Martin, the former Speaker of the Commons who was forced to resign last month following his mishandled response to the MPs'' expenses scandal.

It still remains a mystery as to why Michelle was given the publication.

Michelle and her daughters stayed on in Paris for sightseeing on Sunday, while her husband Barack returned to the US following his tour of Europe.

According to the Telegraph, they believably flew into London by private jet early on Monday morning, before paying a brief visit to Westminster in the afternoon.

Michelle later visited The Audley pub in Mayfair, where regulars saw her disappear into an upstairs room before leaving with her daughters.

On Saturday, the U. S. First Family went sightseeing in Paris, visiting Notre Dame, the Pompidou Centre and a restaurant near the Eiffel Tower.

They were cheered by thousands of people, who had gathered there to welcome them. (ANI)
